JPIC Group is delighted to welcome Praveen Sharma, who joins the business as a Consultant from 1 September 2026, further strengthening our expertise in global insurance programmes.

A Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience, Praveen has extensive expertise across accounting, insurance regulation and taxation. He has spent nearly two decades advising multinational organisations on the strategic design and structure of global insurance programmes, with particular expertise in premium allocation, premium-related taxation and regulatory compliance.

Praveen also spent 12 years with KPMG, where he was a tax adviser to non-life London Market businesses on corporate tax matters.

Strengthening our global programme expertise

Praveen’s appointment adds a highly specialist area of expertise to JPIC’s independent insurance consulting proposition.

Global insurance programmes can become increasingly complex as organisations expand internationally. Different regulatory environments, premium taxes, allocation methodologies and corporate tax considerations all need to be understood alongside the organisation’s wider risk management strategy.

Working with JPIC’s existing team, Praveen will help multinational organisations independently assess whether their insurance programmes remain fit for purpose and are structured as efficiently as possible from a regulatory and tax perspective.

The work goes beyond simply reviewing existing insurance arrangements. It considers how the programme aligns with the organisation’s business model, where its risks are located, how premiums are allocated and taxed, the implications of internal premium recharges, and whether claims are ultimately capable of responding in the way the organisation expects.

Crucially, JPIC approaches this independently. We are not selling an insurance product. Our role is to challenge, assess and advise, helping clients understand whether their current arrangements are appropriate and where improvements could be made.

Praveen will work with multinational organisations across a wide range of sectors, including those with and without captive insurance companies, supporting finance, tax, legal and risk management teams in gaining greater clarity and confidence in their global insurance arrangements.

James Purvis commented:
“I’m delighted to welcome Praveen to JPIC. His depth of knowledge across global insurance programmes, regulation and taxation brings a valuable additional dimension to the independent advice we can provide our clients. As multinational organisations navigate increasingly complex regulatory and tax environments, Praveen’s expertise will enable us to look even more deeply at whether programmes are structured efficiently, are genuinely fit for purpose and will respond as expected.”

Praveen Sharma commented:
“I’m very pleased to be joining JPIC and to have the opportunity to work alongside such an experienced team. I’m passionate about bringing greater transparency and consistency to global insurance programmes. By considering regulatory and tax issues alongside the organisation’s wider business model and risk strategy, we can help clients identify potential issues upfront and reduce the risk of unexpected and unbudgeted surprises.”
